Integrity
When my husband and I left for Canada for our anniversary trip, the last thing I would imagine is that I would be returning alone. I had just kissed exclaimed " I love you! We have a wonderful life" and the next thing I knew he was gone. Absolutely devastated and in shock , family was trying to get me home, but how could I leave without Donnie. That's when I got a phone call from Jim Bob Humphrey that was a "God send" . He said don't worry about Donnie, I will get him home. He explain that he had connections in Canada & was in the process of making arrangements already. My husband's family requested a viewing & service in his home town, but he wanted to be cremated and I wanted his service in Russellville where we lived. Jim Bob and his staff coordinated Donnie's return to the USA, acted as liaison to the funeral home in his hometown for the first service, coordinated his cremation & his return to Russellville for the second service. And what a beautiful service it was! (Even friends that were unable to make his service were able to view it online.)
I truly could not have accomplished all that needed to be done without their compassionate and caring attention to every detail. Throughout it all, they treated me like family and they will always have a place in my heart for helping me through some of the most difficult days of my life.
The love and understanding from Jim Bob, James, and the staff at Humphrey Funeral Home has shown my family over the years is a true blessing!
With pride, dignity, and total respect for our family, Humphery's Funeral Service has been a part of laying to rest my beloved father and my wife. Upon both occasions they were there. I lost my Dad on Christmas Eve they were there within a short time. I will say a year and s half later when I was met by the loss of my wife, I made one call and everything was being addressed. Both situations were expected but not planned. Jim Bob was there with a honest and high quality service. I would considered him a friend and would invite in my home anytime.
In 2009, my wife and I retired after living in Russellville for over 40 years and moved to Alabama to be next to our daugher and grandkids. In 2015, my wife died and i didn't know what to do. She was cremated by a local funeral home, but i wanted to do something back in Russellville with our friends and business associates. I called Jim Bob in tears and ask him for help. He took over and setup a visitation for our family and did an excellent job. I would highly recommend them.
When we lost our mother this past year we could not have asked for better care and concern from Jim Bob and his staff. They took care of everything needed to move her here from out of state to Ft. Smith. During this stressful time it was nice to be able to trust someone to do everything in our best interest without any input from us. Once here Jim Bob had prepared a very moving and appropriate service for us. Once again I can't say enough about how helpful it is to have someone that can step in at times like this and relieve so much of the burden
