Don't do yourself a disservice by renting from Ford Property Management. Obviously it'll be better dealing with any other company that doesn't have a freaking 1 star review!
I was never big on writing reviews and after reading the reviews similar to my experience assures me that this isn't an overreaction. Hopefully this helps the next person save some money and/or aggravation.
When I moved out I got hit with bills for clean-up , touch-up paint, carpet shampoo, and parts & Labor. So after they took my $625 deposit I was given a $240 bill as well and I left that place cleaner than I found it!!
Buyer Beware!! 1 star is way to generous!
Some sort of legal action should be brought against Ford Property Management because it's a deposit scam that they continue to do to good people and get away with it! A good start is to file a report to the Better Business Bureau (BBB).
Long story short.... I moved into an older house that wasn't in great shape but I liked the nice and quiet neighborhood because I traveled a lot for my career so I made it work for 2 years.
This place is a joke. Honestly wish I could give it zero stars, I'm Chinese and was adopted when I was four. I'm totally Americanized and can speak fluent English with a southern draw. But the ladies there are very racist, they spoke to me like I was incompetent as I was like a child. They way they asked me "if my parents were citizens of the United States" my dad was on the city council...
Only rented from them because it was my only option at the time. Horrible realtors!! Home owners beware! Do not list your property with this company. They will not keep care of your tenants, or your home They will let it fall apart and keep the deposits every time. Don’t let this horrible company take a cut of your profits. They don’t do anything. Every time I had to make a service call it took 1-2 months for any results. They even decided to break our lease agreeement and change the lease while we were still living there. The lease we signed said that we would pay electric and water. 5 months into us living there they decided to also start charging us for gas and back charge us for all the months we didn’t pay. We brought up that it wasn’t in the lease but they gave us the ultimatum of getting kicked out if we didn’t accept their changes. I don’t know how a company like this is even allowed to operate.
These people didnt help out at all and were completely useless for a roach problem I had on day one at an 3br 2ba house I rented on 1304 S Tampa Ave. I fought them the entire time I lived there which was a little over 1.5 years. Then the when I moved out they used it against me saying that they had to have the house professionally gone through which is a complete lie. That house was in better shape after my wife and I left than when we moved in. I also had to buy 2 universal garage door opens after several months of them saying they would order some and never did. I didn't know until they mailed me the deposit check 3 months after I moved out but I only got back $104.44 out of my $725.... over $600 spent on cleaning and repairs that were completely made up... very dishonest people. They will screw you before all is said and done.
DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!!! IF YOU CURRENTLY RENT FROM THEM FIND ANOTHER PLACE.I rented from them for 3 and half years and they never fixed the fuse in the refrigerator in the house I rented. AND on top of that they violated my renters rights and went into the property without my permission or notifying me. WHEN I CALLED TO GET MY GARAGE DOOR FIXED IT TOOK THEM A WEEK TO FIX IT. THEY EVEN REFUSED TO FIX MY REFRIGERATOR!!! All my food spoiled. THIS HAPPENED EVERY TIME I SPOKE TO SHARON. SHE IS ABSOLUTELY THE WORST!!!! The other ladies however were always nice and willing to help. **actually would give NO STARS!!!!** They still have yet to refund my deposit and I moved out 30 days ago.
